Mendelssohn's electrifying masterwork will be experienced in its full dramatic strength with this performance, which kicks off the Mendelssohn Choir's Centennial Season. Follow the breathtaking, tragic, and ultimately rapturous story of the Scripture's prophet Elijah, and hear some of the most moving music ever written, from the exquisite "It Is Enough" to the resoundingly powerful "Be Not Afraid". Hear the Children's Festival Chorus in the angelic "Lift Thine Eyes" and re-visit the cherished "He, Watching over Israel" with the full complement of Mendelssohn Choir voices.
