Christine Hestwood Frattare, 
Artistic Director & Conductor
The 2006 - 2007 season marks Christine Hestwood Frattare’s third as Music Director and Conductor of The Junior Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh. Prior to 2006, she was assistant conductor for Robert Page, one of the founding conductors of the Choir. Christine was the Assistant Conductor of The Mendelssohn Choir for five seasons, from 1999 to 2004, and served as the Choir’s Artistic Advisor for its 2005-06 season.
Christine is presently Adjunct Music Professor at Duquesne University, and Audience Engagement and Learning Development Coordinator for the Pittsburgh Symphony. She is the Music Director of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Upper St. Clair and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education with an emphasis on Vocal Performance from Duquesne University. She holds a Master of Music degree in choral conducting from Carnegie Mellon University, where she studied with Grammy Award-winning conductor, Robert Page.
